Spring camping

The winter seemed to drag on and on this year. With our last major snowfall only a few days ago (April 3rd). There was still a significant amount of snow in the woodlands. Easily 4-5 ft deep.

Let's go camping!!

Those who had rubber boots too big for the snowshoes would simply fall through the snow surface. With snowshoes the task was a breeze.

After finding a small clearing suitable for the tent and close enough to the vehicles for those without shoes. We dug down a few feet and made a level area and started to set up camp.

Our luxurious cabin for the night. Foam flooring, air mat and sleeping bags rated for far below what the temp was, ensured we were nice and cozy all night long.

A nice little fire.
